Good morning, Camarillo! A tightly wound low-pressure system remained offshore yesterday and overnight as it dropped down the coast, keeping any rain well offshore of Ventura County, though some spots may have seen a few drops. The rain chance is effectively over for today, and we should remain dry with a mix of clouds and sun through the evening hours. The next system is hot on the heels of the first, though with limited moisture to work with. Expect a 50/50 chance of rain beginning this evening and lasting through tomorrow morning. Gusty west-northwest winds are expected to kick up Sunday afternoon as pressure gradients tighten up. This will be a rare onshore wind event with winds coming from the opposite direction than the traditional offshore wind events we’re used to. A wind advisory will go into effect at noon tomorrow. We’ll see a drying trend establish Monday through late Tuesday, but forecast models are indicating a third storm is likely to impact SoCal on Wednesday, with better chances for rain this time.
