The atmosphere has quieted down overnight, and pleasant conditions look to prevail today and tomorrow. The strong low-pressure system that impacted our area earlier this week is now bulldozing its way eastward and is causing a major severe weather outbreak across the Midwest and Deep South today.
Here in SoCal, a little ridge of high pressure is building and should give a couple of days of sunshine and mild temperatures to enjoy the weekend. The next system will move through the West Coast on Monday, but models continue to take it on a more northerly track, keeping most (if not all) of the rainfall north of Ventura County.
A few days of gusty winds are possible next week, but otherwise, we’re looking at an extended period of dry, pleasant weather from Tuesday onward.
