A weak cold front is just entering Santa Barbara County this morning and moving southeast, and will bring a chance of rain to Ventura County later this morning into this afternoon. Latest forecast models show a little bit more life in the front, and the NWS has upped our rain chances to 60% in Camarillo. That’s still a two-out-of-five chance that we’ll stay dry, though. It’ll be a brief chance, over quickly, and any rain that falls will be light, with totals not exceeding a tenth of an inch, and most likely only a trace.
Gusty west-northwest winds will build behind the front this afternoon and last through late tonight. A Wind Advisory was issued yesterday and will go into effect at 2 p.m.
Cold air advection shuts off on Wednesday, and we’ll see a jump in temperatures for the latter half of the week. Dare I say spring-like conditions settle in through at least next week.
