Dry and occasionally breezy conditions continue through next week, with a significant warming trend expected Sunday and Monday. High pressure building off the coast will keep the weather pleasant through midweek next week.
The center of the high will move through the region early next week, and the offshore flow and warming atmosphere will bring a mini heat wave to the area, most notable away from the coast. The heat will be heavily moderated near the coast where ocean temperatures in the mid-50s will keep air temperatures in check. In Camarillo, highs are currently forecast to reach the mid to upper 70s. Up the hill in Thousand Oaks and further inland in Simi Valley, temperatures will soar into the mid to upper 80s.
I’m also starting to see indications of the Spring marine layer pattern emerging late next week, so Graypril/May Gray/June Gloom won’t be far behind.
