We’ve seen big changes to the forecast for wave #2, meaning we’re no longer expecting nearly the same rain and thunderstorms we were 24 hours ago. Instead of passing through SoCal, the slug of energy is projected to pass well off the coast, keeping most of the stormy activity offshore. The eastern edge may brush us, bringing scattered showers to the area through early afternoon. Otherwise, expect partly to mostly sunny skies today.
One thing that hasn’t changed is the temperature forecast, which remains quite chilly. Highs top out in the upper 50s today, and lows plunge into the low 40s along the coast to the upper 30s for most of inland Ventura County.
The weekend is looking good, with sunny skies and warming temperatures, but we’re eyeballing Monday for the arrival of our next storm.
