Your use of the "CamWX.com" a.k.a. "Camarillo Weather Center" web site (the "Site"), and all information, products, data contained on the Site (the "Data"), and services on the Site (the "Services"), are subject to the binding legal terms set forth below ("Terms"). We may update these Terms from time to time without notice. Unless we let you know by giving notice, any new features or updated Services we put on the Site will be subject to these Terms. By using the Services, you agree to each of the Terms set forth below, You are not authorized to use the Services for any other purpose.

We are pleased to give you access to the Site free of charge. However, in order to access the Site and use the Services, you will need to establish an account with an internet service provider ("ISP"). You will also need equipment to access the Site, including a computer, modem, or other communication device. You agree to pay for all hardware and service costs need to access the Site and use the Services. "CamWX.com" is not responsible for any of these costs.

You may use the Services on the Site for your personal, non commercial use. You may make a single copy of the individual screens you see when you use the Services, but only for your personal use. You cannot distribute or transfer the copies to others in exchange for money or other consideration. You may not modify, reformat, copy, display, distribute, transmit, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information, products or services obtained from the Services, except as set forth below. This means you may not mirror or hotlink the home page or other pages of the Site on your website or webpage.

Some images contained on the Site are used with permission from their owners/creators and are so indicated. These images are the sole property of their owners and are not subject to the terms previosuly set forth.

From time to time we receive requests to disclose the identities of our users. We do not disclose the identities of our users unless we are legally required to do so.

CamWX.com offers free-of-charge Email and SMS/MMS Text alerts of new and updated warnings, watches, advisories, and other bulletins issued by the National Weather Service that cover and affect the City of Camarillo. This geographic area is defined by a circle with a radius of four miles from a point at 34.2332 Latitude, -119.0356 Longitude. This area contains the City of Camarillo and surrounding un-incorporated Ventura County. The use of this specific service shall be governed by the following terms:

1. When opted-in, you will receive text messages (SMS/MMS) to your mobile number. These kinds of messages may include summarized information about weather warnings, watches, advisories, bulletins, or other information authored and issued by the National Weather Service.
2. You can opt-out of this service at any time. Just text "STOP" to the phone number. After you text "STOP" to us, we will send you an SMS reply to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us. If you want to join again, text "START," and we will start sending SMS messages to you again.
3. If you are experiencing any issues, you can reply with the keyword HELP. Or, you can get help directly from us at our contact page.
4. Carriers, such as AT&T, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. The number of messages you may receive will vary based upon changing weather conditions, but you can expect to receive up to ten messages per day on very active weather days.
6. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, please contact your wireless provider.
7. If you have any questions regarding privacy, please read our privacy policy.

We will use commercially reasonable efforts to maintain the Site free of viruses and other harmful components. However, as the Site is accessible by third parties, we cannot assume any responsibility for any viruses or other harmful components that may affect your computer equipment or other property as a result of your access to, viewing of or downloading any Data from the Site. We do not warrant that the Site, its servers or any Data downloaded from the Site is free from viruses, bugs or other harmful components.

"CamWX.com" strives to provide timely and accurate Data, however we cannot guarantee the Services will be free from technical malfunction or failure. While the best effort will be made to limit these instances and reasonable steps will be taken to inform you of the status of the Services, "CamWX.com" cannot and will not assume liability for untimely or inaccurate Data.

"CamWX.com" is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by the city of Camarillo, the County of Ventura, the State of California, the National Weather Service, or the United States Government. The Services of the Site and the Data contained therein is intended to supplement, not replace, official National Weather Service information.

Unless otherwise noted, the National Weather Service authors and issues the watches, warnings, advisories, alerts, statements, bulletins, and forecasts that are re-transmitted on the Site. In no way will "CamWX.com" be held liable for false or misleading information contained in any of these re-transmitted products. User and other third parties are soley responsible for action taken or lack thereof to preserve life and/or property.
